Baltimore, MD, Jan. 4, 2013 -- Distributor J.J. Haines said it has acquired Allied Products of Baltimore, a 72-year-old flooring supplies distributor, according to the Baltimore Sun.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Allied has 40 employees and annual sales of more than $10 million, and it will continue to be run as a separate business.
The newspaper said that Haines plans to hire all Allied workers and keep Allied's 11 locations in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia and North Carolina open.
Haines has 444 employees and runs 18 distribution sites.
