Washington, DC, Aug. 13, 2013 -- Business inventories were flat in June, according to the Commerce Department.
Most firms outside the auto sector cut back on restocking.
Overall inventories were unchanged during the month, the Commerce Department said on Tuesday. Economists polled by Reuters had forecast overall inventories to rise 0.2% in June.
Retail inventories excluding autos decreased 0.1% after rising 0.2% in May.
Business sales increased 0.2% in June.
