Winners of 2019 HPS Schönox Worst Subfloor Contest Announced

Las Vegas, NV, January 25, 2019-The winners of the fifth Worst Subfloor Contest were announce January 24 at the HPS Schönox booth in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of The International Surfaces Event. 

The winners in the fifth Worst Subfloor Contest are as follows:

First Place: H.J. Martin and Sons, Green Bay, Wisconsin (Donovan Morris and Andy Jurczowski)

Distributor: KRS Inc.

Schönox Representative: Marty Hackenmueller 

Second Place: Kaufman Concrete Company, Louisville, Kentucky (Alex Kaufman, Clarence Tye, Tracy Wilson)

Distributor: CDC Distributors

Schönox Representative: Clay Criswell

Third Place: Design South Flooring and Interiors, Saltillo, Mississippi (Clay Lansdell, Juan Sosa, Mateo Lavan)

Distributor: Adleta

Schönox Representative: Shane Jenkins

Honorable Mention: Nashville Flooring, Nashville, Tennessee (Brandon Goodwin, Gabe Greer, and Bruce Busby)

The trio of judges-John McGrath, Greg Mercurio, and Robert Varden-said the process was challenging this year as so many projects were worth of the win. There were 132 entries in the 2018 contest, making it the largest in the history of the event. 

HPS Schönox will begin accepting entries for the 2020 Worst Subfloor Contect beginning May 15 on the HPS Schönox website.
