Wholesaler Sales Down 0.7% in December

Washington, DC, February 7, 2020-December 2019 sales of merchant wholesalers were $494.4 billion, down 0.7% from the revised November level but up 0.5% from the revised December 2018 level, according to the U.S. Census Bureau.

The October 2019 to November 2019 percent change was revised from the preliminary estimate of up 1.5% to up 0.9%.

Total inventories of merchant wholesalers were $674.5 billion at the end of December, down 0.2% from the revised November level. Total inventories were up 2.1% from the revised December 2018 level. The November 2019 to December 2019 percent change was revised from the advance estimate of down 0.1% to down 0.2%.
