Tile Contractors Giving Awards at Coverings

Chicago, IL, April 7, 2009--The National Tile Contractors Association will present the Sixth Annual TileLetter Awards at Coverings 2009 in Chicago in a special ceremony at McCormick Place.

The NTCA presents tile and stone contracting professionals with three commercial awards and three residential awards. This year’s program also includes a special community service award presented by the Tile Partners for Humanity, as well as the prestigious NTCA Joe Tarver Cornerstone Award for 2009. The Tile Council of North America will also recognize their annual Tile Person of the Year at the NTCA’s Sixth-Annual Tile Letter Awards program.

This year’s event will take place on Thursday, April 23.

The 2009 Joe Tarver Cornerstone Award will be presented to David M. Gobis. CTC CSI, a third-generation tile setter, and the Executive Director of the Ceramic Tile Education Foundation.

Laticrete, Custom Building Products, Schluter Systems, Dal Tile Corporation, Tile Council of North America, Marino Tile and Marble, Mer Krete, United States Gypsum, Mapei, and TEC Specialty Construction Brands are sponsoring the awards.
