Surya Cuts Ribbon on New Cartersville Headquarters & Distribution Center

Cartersville, GA, May 11, 2016—Surya celebrated the official opening of its new corporate office space and distribution center with a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house held onsite on May 9.

More than 150 guests attended the event, which featured comments from commissioner Chris Carr of the Georgia Department of Economic Development and commissioner Steve Taylor of Bartow County, followed by a special address from guest of honor, Georgia governor Nathan Deal.

The new facility, located north of Atlanta in Cartersville, Georgia, includes 81,000 square feet of office space and 955,000 square feet of warehouse space, providing the home accessories company with more than double the warehouse capacity of its Calhoun, Georgia location.

Surya has grown organically from $2.7M in sales in 2004 to $111M in 2015 and has been named to the Inc. 5000 list of America’s fastest growing privately held companies for five consecutive years, earning a spot on the prestigious Inc. 5000 Honor Roll.

As part of its expansion, Surya plans to add an estimated 200 new jobs within the next few years.
