Ray Anderson Wins ASID Design for Humanity Award

Washington, DC, April 12, 2010--The American Society of Interior Designers has announced the six recipients of the annual ASID Awards.

The awards honor the lifetime achievements of individuals and companies in the field of interior design. Sustainability was a common theme among every award winner.

Among the winners was Ray Anderson of Interface. He won the ASID Design for Humanity Award for his role in transforming the flooring industry.

The forward-looking sustainable manufacturing practices Anderson implemented at Interface Inc., Industry Partner of ASID, have set a new standard for the industry. He is recognized as a trusted source in the field and continues to shape the industry through speaking engagements.

ASID Designer of Distinction Award: Kirsten Childs, ASID, LEED AP

ASID Educator of Distinction Award: The Council for Interior Design Accreditation (CIDA)

ASID Patron’s Prize: General Services Administration (GSA)

ASID Product Prize – Corporate: Autodesk

ASID Product Prize – Individual: Mogens Smed

ASID Award winners will be recognized at Celebration during ASID at NeoCon on June 14.
