NWFA Awards 2011 Degrees

St. Louis, MO, May 9, 2011 -- The National Wood Flooring Association has announced its 2011 degree recipients.

A total of 35 members earned NWFA degrees in 2011, bringing the total since the program began to 730.

NWFA degrees recognize individuals who have been members of the NWFA for a minimum of three consecutive years, and who reach specific levels of achievement in wood flooring education, personal accomplishment, and service to the industry.

Craftsman Degrees are awarded to individuals who achieve 25 credits for education, achievement and service, of which 15 must be in education.  This year’s Craftsman Degree recipients are as follows:

Master Craftsman Degrees are awarded for achieving the Craftsman Degree, attending or serving as an instructor at an NWFA Advanced or Expert School and/or receiving an NWFA Floor of the Year Award, and earning 25 credits, of which 15 are for achievement.

This year’s Master Craftsman Degree recipients are as follows: Trevor Hayden, Metropolitan Hardwood Floors, La Vista, NE; Wayne Highlander, Basic Coatings, San Leandro, CA; Michael Kordash, Independent HWFs & Inspection Service, Dallas, TX; and Jon Namba, Namba Services, Salt Lake City, UT.

The Advanced Master Degree is awarded to those who have received the Master Craftsman Degree, and who have earned 25 achievement credits.

This year’s Advanced Master Degree recipients are as follows: Mark Mukosiej, Arboritec, Canton, GA; Mike Osborn, Easy Groove, Edmonds, WA; Ricardo Pairazaman, Eco Floors, Las Vegas, NV, and Matt White, Alston, Inc.., Danville, CA.

Vanguard Degrees are awarded for earning 25 credits, of which 15 are for service and/or achievement to the industry:  This year’s Vanguard Degree recipients are as follows.
