Novalis Provides Update on Recent Sustainability Efforts

Dalton, GA, September 16, 2021-Novalis published its inaugural sustainability report this year.

The report outlines the company’s commitment to responsible manufacturing and highlights the sustainability initiatives implemented across its global operations and covers Novalis’s 2020 operations and recent milestones, including the Novalis China factory. This facility was designed with sustainability throughout. The factory incorporates infrastructure and processes to facilitate the reuse of water and excess production material. The roof is covered in solar panels, which provide renewable energy directly to the plant. The facility also conducted its first third-party verified Sedex Members Ethical Trade Audit (SMETA) in 2020 to assess the factory’s practices against international best practices in labor, health and safety, environmental and business ethics.

In addition, Novalis products were named Marriott Sustainability Assessment Program (MSAP) Leaders this year. For 2021, five Ava product families attained Leader status because of the products’ environmental impact reductions, strict requirements around chemicals of concern, and integration of sustainability across the entire value chain.
