Nebraska Furniture Mart's Louis Blumkin Dies

Omaha, NE, Feb. 28, 2013 -- Louis Blumkin, whose mother founded the Nebraska Furniture Mart in Omaha, Nebraska, died at age 93.

Blumkin helped his mother run the store she founded for decades. Most of the business was sold to Berkshire Hathaway in 1983 but Blumkin's three sons continue to run it today.

Buffett told the Omaha World-Herald that Louis Blumkin was a great friend and businessman.
