Mohawk, Engineered Floors & Shaw Issue Price Increases

Chattanooga, TN, August 27, 2020-Mohawk, Engineered Floors and Shaw have announced price increases.

Mohawk will increase the price of residential carpet by 5%, with a minimum of $0.27 per square yard, effective with orders as of September 18 and shipments on or after October 5.

Engineered Floors will increase the price of its Dream Weaver, Dwellings and Engineered Floors Multifamily Brands by 5% to 8% on new orders as of September 21 and shipments on or after October 1.

Shaw will increase pricing for all product categories by 5% and 8%, effective with orders on November 2 and shipments on November 16. This increase will exclude products increased on August 10 due to tariffs.

The companies attributed the increases up to inflation in labor, freight and manufacturing costs, with Engineered Floors pointing to the pandemic as the root cause of these rising expenses.
