Mohawk Completes Due Diligence to Acquire Emilceramica

Modena, IT, September 23, 2016—Mohawk has completed due diligence to acquire Emilceramica, according to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta di Modena.

The paper reports, “The US group Mohawk, which [already owns] Marazzi and all its Italian and foreign brands (Spider, Dal Tile in the US, [Kerama] in Russia), has now completed the 'due diligence' to acquire Emilceramica, that just these days is changing the brand Emilgroup. Among the district unions and mergers this is one of the most important of all time, because it refers to two historical brands of the major district… Emilgroup has a positive trend and Mohawk has no intention to intervene on the organization.”

Emilceramica is the 8th largest italian based producer of tile.
