Intertech Flooring Wins Austin Green Award

Austin, TX, April 1, 2008--The Austin Business Journal has awarded commercial flooring specialist Intertech Flooring its 2008 Going Green Award in the Large Business category. Intertech was one of 57 central Texas businesses nominated for the awards.

About one-third of Intertech Flooring’s total revenue last year was devoted to LEED projects. The Journal noted that Intertech was the flooring contractor on nearly every LEED project in central Texas in 2007, including high profile projects like the Dell Children’s Medical Center and Advanced Micro Devices’ Lone Star campus.

In making Intertech’s selection, the Journal recognized Intertech’s commitment to promoting the use of access flooring for energy savings, and its carpet recycling services.

In addition, Intertech has invested in maintaining an online green flooring resource through its website, www.intertechflooring.com, and has promoted green flooring through articles in national publications. Intertech also employs one of the only LEED accredited flooring contractor professionals in the nation.
