Green Design for Hospitality Subject of Program

 

Atlanta, GA, March 26, 2008—Hospitality Design magazine will present HD Green Day on Wednesday, May 14, co-located with HD Expo at the Sands Expo Center/Venetian Conference Center in Las Vegas.

For designers, hoteliers, restaurateurs, architects and other creative professionals dedicated to improving the environment through their work, HD Green Day offers the opportunity to impact the future of sustainable design through an interactive panel on design standards. Educational panels, award presentations and a keynote address will provide tools for attendees to implement next steps in green design.

During Green Day, one discussion among industry heavyweights will be a session titled "Talk is Cheap: Defining Standards For Hospitality." This two-hour interactive session will include representatives from top owners, purchasers, designers and the U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) to discuss the unique demands of the hospitality industry when it comes to green building and design standards.

Additional panels include "Why Go Green?" - a look at the business of eco-friendly design - and "Achieving the New Look of Green" - a session exploring the future of green design through tips, techniques and details on the next generation of green building.

Green Luncheon will feature a special keynote address by environmental lifestyle expert, Danny Seo.
