FloorTek Set For April

Dalton, GA, Feb. 26--This April 22-24, the American Floorcovering Alliance (AFA) will host the biannual FloorTek Expo at the Northwest Georgia Trade and Convention Center in Dalton. FloorTek, formerly known as The Carpet Technologies Show, has expanded its scope this year to feature manufacturing technology and services from all aspects of the floorcovering industry including carpets, textile floorcoverings, solid surfaces and laminates, fibers and yarn, machinery, applications and equipment. “In recent years the solid surface side of the floorcovering industry has increased drastically,” said AFA president Jim Shaheen. “This industry has grown through consumer demand and new technologies. Our goal in broadening the scope of FloorTek to include these manufacturers was to provide an opportunity for the entire industry to come together and share information…therefore strengthening our position in the marketplace and growing the industry.” In conjunction with the FloorTek Expo this year, the AFA will be presenting the Best of FloorTek awards. These awards will be given to companies or individuals in the industry that have demonstrated environmental responsibility, the best product or method of innovation, exceptional individual leadership and the company that has had the largest historical contribution to the industry. “We at the American Floorcovering Alliance feel that it is time we recognized those individuals and companies that go above and beyond the industry standard. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to honor these folks with the Best of FloorTek Awards,” said Shaheen.
