Floors & More Announces Summer Convention Details

Auburn, MA, June 17, 2022-The Floors & More 2022 annual summer convention will take place in Austin, Texas at the Marriott South from July 31 to August 2. Vice president Vinnie Virga Jr. says that although the retail buying group’s winter show-which coincides with Surfaces-typically has more attendees, the upcoming convention already has more registrants than this year’s winter event. 

Floors & More recently added five new stores near Austin and gained its first international member, located in Canada, and Virga says the group is on track to meeting its goal of 100 total members by year’s end.

The convention will include separate tracks for owners and salespeople, a timely focus as the economy reaches its peak and best practices become key, Virga says; along with marketing, merchandising and program updates. Six breakout sessions will feature industry experts, such as Synchrony Financial’s Sam Mudrick speaking on the impact of offering financing, World Floor Covering Association’s Scott Humphreys on how to prepare for the changing economy, and Engineered Floors’ Will Young on winning sales strategies. 

Additionally, the group will host an event at Treaty Oak Distilling and provide an opportunity for some healthy competition at a nearby arcade.
