Elbit Vision Systems Finalizes Deal with Lessco

Yoqneam, Israel, June 1--Elbit Vision Systems, a provider of automatic optical inspection and quality monitoring systems, signed a new distribution agreement with Lessco International for its advanced solutions for automatic inspection of the manufacture of floor covering materials, according to Globes Online. Lessco designs, develops, manufactures, markets, and supports custom equipment for the carpet and textiles industries. The company is the world's largest manufacturer of chemical foam processing, application, curing systems, foam backing, coating, mixing and application systems. EVS delivered floor covering systems valued at $200,000 to the industry during the first quarter of 2005. EVS stated that Lessco projects $1.5 million in sales of EVS systems for 2005. Additionally, on May 17th, the American Floorcovering Alliance honored EVS with the award for the Best of FloorTek 2004 Innovation Award for its TF1020 automatic optical end-out monitoring system, acknowledging it as the best innovative product/technology to benefit the floor covering industry during the past year. FloorTek Expo was the first important show where EVS introduced its solutions and products to the flooring manufacturing industry. EVS US managing director Sam Cohen said he believed the award would help the company attain additional business in the multi-billion dollar flooring industry.
