Carpet One To Hold 2nd Annual Sales Convention

Manchester, NH, February 14, 2007--Carpet One Floor & Home will hold its second annual Retail Sales Professional (RSP) Convention in conjunction with their member convention this March in Dallas. The company introduced the RSP Convention last winter in order to provide sales professionals with key skills and to get them more involved in Carpet One Floor & Home's goals and initiatives.

Sales professionals who attend the convention get valuable sales training and product knowledge from top industry leaders, while storeowners benefit from the improved performance and dedication of their staff.

After the 2006 RSP Convention, storeowner Tim Jacobi from Jacobi's Carpet One Floor & Home explained, "The RSP Convention truly gave our sales professionals a greater insight into the power of Carpet One Floor & Home and increased their business."

Kyle Zender, a sales professional from Wayne's Color Centre Carpet One Floor & Home who attended the 2006 RSP Convention felt that, "it was an exceptional insight to the power of One." Zender said, "the seminars and speakers were intense and the energy was high! I now realize that we are the professionals who are redefining this industry, and to be a part of that is inspiring. The storeowner has watched my leadership grow, and this was a defining experience for myself, as well as all in attendance."

"This is an extremely valuable resource for our members and their sales professionals," explains David Hendler, Carpet One Floor & Home's vice president of retail. "They will gain critical sales skills and first-hand knowledge about our products from industry experts. More importantly, they will be motivated to use their new skills, and with takeaways from every session, they can share them with their fellow sales professionals back home. Most importantly, they will leave feeling more engaged in Carpet One Floor & Home."

Carpet One Floor & Home sales professionals will have many opportunities to improve their skills and become more involved in the success of the organization at the 2007 RSP Convention. The convention will kick-off on Monday, March 5, 2007 with an Education Day and an evening reception. On Tuesday, sales professionals will join storeowners for the member General Session, then attend break outs and their own General Session.  Then they'll have the opportunity to meet with vendors and learn more about Carpet One Floor & Home exclusive products on Wednesday.  Finally, on Wednesday evening, sales professionals will once again join storeowners to visit the exhibit hall and attend the annual Awards Gala.

"The message we are trying to convey to Carpet One Floor & Home storeowners through the RSP Convention is simple," continued Hendler.  "If you don't make sales professional engagement a priority, all other priorities will diminish in importance."

The RSP Convention includes an awards presentation of its own, recognizing the top Carpet One Floor & Home sales professionals for their exceptional performance, commitment and engagement in their careers.

Last year over 150 sales professionals attended the convention.  This year, Carpet One Floor & Home expects more than 200 attendees.
