Carpet One Announces Winner of Triple Crown’s 2nd

Manchester, NH, July 23--Carpet One has named Cindy Miller of Floor Design Gallery in Minneapolis, MN the winner of the second leg of the Triple Crown Challenge, a sales incentive program open to sales professionals at Carpet One stores throughout the United States and Canada. The winner of each leg of the Triple Crown Challenge receives a $5,000 check from Carpet One. "It was a very close competition in this leg," said Dean Marcarelli, co-COO of Carpet One. "There are a lot of experienced sales associates involved in this program - Cindy Miller certainly stands out as one of the best. She has set the standard for sales associates throughout North America and we're happy to reward her for her accomplishments." Carpet One's Triple Crown Challenge is a sales incentive program that is divided into three legs of four months each. The program began in October of 2003 and runs through September 2004. Registered Carpet One sales professionals from the U.S. and Canada earn "crowns" for the square footage of exclusive Carpet One brands, such as Liz Claiborne Flooring, Good Housekeeping carpet and LEES For Living, that they sell. Throughout the year, Carpet One has offered sales professionals a range of opportunities to win cash prizes, from being the highest-seller of a designated product during one leg to directing a "mystery shopper" to a featured product. Miller will have the opportunity, along with other top-sellers, to win the grand prize of $10,000, awarded to the sales professional who has earned the most "crowns" at the end of the year. To date, Carpet One has awarded over $41,000 in cash prizes. The winner of the first leg, Michael Gawronski of Miller's Carpet One in New Castle, DE, received his $5,000 check at the 2004 Carpet One Winter Convention this past February. By October 1, 2004, Carpet One will have awarded over $100,000 to sales associates throughout North America.
