AtlasMasland Unveils New Brand Identity

Dalton, GA, May 14, 2020-AtlasMasland revealed a comprehensive new brand strategy that reflects the company’s legacies with a unified voice and identity to the marketplace.

Creating the new brand identity was the job of marquardt+, a design firm well known within the A&D and design industry for challenging conventions.

According to marquardt+, the AtlasMasland logo was created using a custom simplified “a” and “m” font that flow into one mark, allowing their individual elements to be reflected in the unification of the two legacy brands. The logo consists of two elements: the AM icon and logotype, with AtlasMasland becoming one word beneath. The new blue and green colors were selected to modernize the Atlas and Masland legacy blue and green colors they replaced, simplifying and visually blending the two brands color palette into one unified company.

Founded in 1866, Masland has been part of The Dixie Group portfolio for more than 25 years. The company acquired Atlas Carpet Mills in 2014 and completed the final phase of unification of Atlas and Masland Contract into one commercial flooring operating division in late 2018. This final phase included the integration of west coast manufacturing into the Atmore, Alabama facility. Well known for developing inspired design, Atlas’s creative team, including Elena Cordoba, now executive director of design and product development for AtlasMasland, have relocated to the company’s design studio in Saraland, Alabama as well.

AtlasMasland’s new identity was to be officially revealed as part of NeoCon, the contract interiors industry’s premier market event typically held in June. Given the coronavirus pandemic, NeoCon is now a series of virtual events that will take place during the summer months and into the fall. AtlasMasland will reveal its new identity as part of NeoCon’s virtual events and a series of new product introductions throughout the year.
