Asheville, NC, October 22--Executives from Pearlman’s Carpet One, The Biltmore Company and Anderson Hardwood Floors recently premiered the display of the Biltmore Estate For Your Home collection of hardwood floors and decorative inserts. Lowell Pearlman, president of Pearlman’s Carpet One, was joined by Bill Cecil, Jr., president and CEO of The Biltmore Company and John Woolsey, V.P. of marketing, Anderson Hardwood Floors, as the collection was unveiled before local media. Pearlman’s was selected to premier Anderson’s Biltmore Estate For Your Home collection because Asheville is home to George Vanderbilt’s late-nineteenth century estate, Biltmore House; CEOs of The Biltmore Company and Anderson Hardwood Floors decided that Asheville Carpet One consumers should have the first opportunity to see and purchase flooring products inspired by the nearby estate house. "We are flattered that Anderson Hardwood has chosen Carpet One to be an exclusive carrier of the Biltmore Estate for Your Home Collection," said Charlie Dilks, co-COO of Carpet One. "Pearlman’s Carpet One is the perfect location to premier this collection of hardwood flooring." After receiving his share of the family fortune, George Vanderbilt hired renowned architect Richard Morris Hunt to design Biltmore House as a monument to the world's of knowledge, nature and the arts. Biltmore House became the largest private home in America, with more than 175,000 square feet of living space and 250 rooms. Vanderbilt decorated and furnished the estate himself, gathering ideas from around the world. The Biltmore Estate For Your Home Collection features five families of floors and five decorative accents, all based on areas of Biltmore House. Cecil praised the results of Anderson’s efforts to recreate the Biltmore experience for consumers, as well as Carpet One’s ability to reach upscale buyers nationwide. "We spent a lot of time and effort looking for the right manufacturer for the flooring component of the Biltmore Estate For Your Home Program. Anderson Hardwood Floors was clearly superior among the competitors, and its partnership with Carpet One retailers is the perfect combination to reach our target audience," Cecil said.
