Wayfair Accused of Selling Flooring with High Formaldehyde Levels

Boston, MA, December 18, 2015—Wayfair has come under scrutiny for selling flooring and furniture with excessively high formaldehyde levels, according to the Hardwood, Plywood & Veneer Association.

Testing conducted by the same short seller who uncovered the Lumber Liquidators’ scandal claims that furniture with MDF components—sourced primarily from China—and laminate flooring were reported with formaldehyde levels of more than twice the current CARB and proposed EPA limits.
