Unilin Pens Licensing Agreement for Compressed Wood Technology

Dallas, Texas, March 23, 2015—Flooring Industries, Unilin's IP business unit, entered into a cooperation agreement with Guangzhou Australian Eucalyptus Timber Flooring Co. LTD (Eucalyptus Timber) to be the exclusive licensing agent of Eucalyptus Timber’s patented compressed wood technology.

The compressed wood technology creates a substantial improvement in the impact and scratch resistance of wood veneers used in engineered flooring products. As an example, the impact resistance of an oak veneer treated with this technology can improve more than 100%, compared to an untreated veneer.

Unilin’s IP business team will present the compressed wood technology in its Domotex Shanghai 2015 booth.
