Third Quarter Economic Growth Revised Higher

Washington, DC, Nov. 29, 2012 -- Economic growth for the third quarter, was revised higher to 2.7%, according to the Commerce Department.

The jump from an initial reading of 2% was due to businesses exporting and stockpiling more products.

Corporate profits also strengthened in the quarter.

However, consumer spending and business investments in the quarter were softer than initially estimated.
