Thieves Pose as Flooring Salesmen

Henrico, VA, Oct. 20, 2014 -- Police said two thieves posed as flooring salesmen to gain access to the home of an elderly resident and steal jewelry and money, according to the Richmond Times-Dispatch.

According to police, the victim said she allowed a white male into her home after he knocked on her door and claimed to have known her deceased husband.

Another man entered the home with a large piece of linoleum flooring. Both suspects held it up while one of the men tried to sell it to the victim and the other went into the victim's bedroom.

The suspects left after the the victim declined to buy the flooring.
