Taylor Develops Liquid, Sound Reducing Underlayment

Fontana, CA, Dec. 22, 2014 -- W.F. Taylor Co. has developed a new liquid, self-leveling underlayment that incorporates a sound deadening technology that's been available in a resilient adhesive.

Acous-Tec Sound Reducing Liquid Underlayment Patch and Leveler, designed for all floating floor systems, is patent pending, Taylor said.

"Because of MS-Plus Resilient’s phenomenal success with lowering sound transmission, installers led Taylor to see the need for a liquid sound barrier product that doesn’t exist on the market," the company said in a press release.

The product can be used by both commercial installers and do-it-yourself consumers, said vice president Barry wright. It has a one-hour cure time and covers the floor as a completely sealed, leveled, and flat durable membrane.
