Paraguayan Architect Solano Benítez to Speak at Cersaie

Bologna, IT, September 14, 2015—Paraguayan architect and university professor Solano Benítez, founder of the practice Gabinete de Arquitectura, will speak at a conference hosted in the Architecture Gallery on September 30.

The main characteristic of Murcutt’s work is his attention to the environment and his strong sense of harmony with the climate and landscape, which is largely achieved through his use of simple materials in an approach described as “ecological functionalism”.

Along with numerous private homes throughout Australia, Murcutt’s most notable achievements include the Museum of Local History and Tourist Office in Kempsey, the Bowali Visitor Information Centre in the Kakadu National Park and the Arthur and Yvonne Boyd Art Centre in Riversdale, all in Australia.
