New Orders for Durable Goods Inched Up in November

Washington, DC, December 23, 2015--New orders for manufactured durable goods in November increased $0.1 billion or virtually unchanged to $238.8 billion, the U.S. Census Bureau announced.

This increase, up two consecutive months, followed a 2.9% October increase. Excluding transportation, new orders decreased 0.1%. Excluding defense, new orders decreased 1.5%.

Transportation equipment, also up two consecutive months, drove the increase, $0.3 billion or 0.4% to $82.2 billion.
