Job Openings at Record High in April

Washington, DC, June 10, 2015—The U.S. had 5.376 million job openings in April, up from 5.1 million in March, according to the Labor Department.

This is the highest figure recorded since the Labor Department began conducting the Jolts survey in the year 2000.

The number of hires fell slightly from March to five million in April.

The quits rate also fell slightly to 1.9% in April, from 2.0% in March.
