J+J Releases Third Sustainability Report

Dalton, GA, June 26, 2015—J+J Flooring Group has released its 2014 Corporate Sustainability Report, which focuses on the social and environmental responsibility activities and achievements accomplished last year. 

It also provides an update on the progress the company is making toward the conservation, resource reduction and environmental performance goals it has set for the year 2020, called 20/20 Vision.

Notable achievements highlighted in the report include: diverting 4.2 million pounds of waste away from landfills in 2014; saving nearly 16 million gallons of water through J+J’s Aquafinity water reclamation system; reducing dyehouse energy use by 3 billion BTUs and using Renewable Energy Credits equivalent to one-third the company’s total energy consumption; and completing EPDs and HPDs for 100% of the company’s standard products; achieving ISO 14001 certification renewal for the company’s efforts to minimize environmental impacts, including the use of innovative technologies, and systems and processes for reducing energy, water, air and waste impacts; and extensive employee volunteerism and community engagement, including support for more than 20 local, regional and national charitable organizations.
