Interface Launches Climate Take-Back Sustainability Initiative

Chicago, IL, June 14, 2016—Interface held a press event at NeoCon 2016 where the modular carpet firm unveiled its Climate Take Back goal to reverse climate change and set a new standard for American manufacturers to put carbon back where it belongs.

For the last 16 years, Interface has focused on Mission Zero, a goal to create zero waste by the year 2020, and it met several of its Mission Zero goals early.

This new initiative commits the company to take the goal a step further by taking in waste from other sources and converting it into useful purposes.

Climate Take Back has four key commitments: to bring carbon home and reverse climate change; to create supply chains that benefit all life; to make factories that are like forests; and to transform dispersed materials into products and goodness.
