House Price Increases Continue to Slow
New York, NY, Sept. 30, 2014 -- Single-family home prices rose less than expected in July on a year-over-year basis, according to the S&P/Case Shiller composite index.
The index of 20 metropolitan areas gained 6.7% in July year over year. Economists were expecting a 7.5% rise.
On a seasonally-adjusted monthly basis, prices fell 0.5% in July from June.
