Home Prices Rising 13 Times Faster than Wages

New York, NY, March 27, 2015—Home prices are increasing 13 times faster than wages, according to a report from RealtyTrac.

While home prices increased by 17% between the second quarter of 2012 and the second quarter of 2014, wages climbed only 1.3% during that time.

During the U.S. housing recovery of the past two years, home price appreciation has outpaced wage growth in 76% of U.S. housing markets.
