Home Builder Lennar Sees More Orders

Miami, FL, Sept. 24, 2012 -- Home builder Lennar Corp reported higher third quarter net income.

Orders for new homes rose for the sixth straight quarter.

Lennar said net orders rose 44% to 4,198 homes in the quarter.

Net income was $87.1 million, or $0.40 per share, compared with $20.7 million, or $0.11 per share, a year ago.
