Consumer Spending Rises Modestly
Washington, DC, March 30, 2015—Consumer spending rose 0.1% in February over the previous month, reports the Commerce Department.
Such a minor increase indicates that consumers are saving rather than spending.
In January, spending ticked down 0.2% in January, and, in December, it fell a revised 0.2%.
Consumer spending measures everything from groceries to haircuts.
