Consumer Spending, Incomes Rise in February

Washington, DC, March 28, 2014 -- Consumer spending rose 0.3% in February after a 0.2% rise in January, the Commerce Department said.

In February, spending on durable goods such as autos fell while spending on services, such as utility bills, increased.

According to the report, after-tax income was up 0.3% in February, the same as in January.
