Consumer Sentiment Jumps in January

Ann Arbor, MI, Feb. 1, 2013 -- The University of Michigan and Thomson Reuters consumer sentiment survey was much better than expected in January.

Sentiment rose to a seasonally adjusted 73.8, from 72.9 in the preceding month.
