Budget Office Predicts 2014 Growth of 1.5%

Washington, DC, Aug. 27, 2014 -- The Congressional Budget Office predicts the economy will grow 1.5% this year, hurt by a poor first-quarter.

Last month, the Obama administration predicted that the economy would grow 2.6% this year.

The CBO predicts the economy will grow by 3.4% over 2015 and 2016, and  that the unemployment rate will remain below 6% into the future.
