Airbase Opens New Dover, Delaware Location

Dover, DE, April 28, 2015—Airbase Carpet & Tile Mart—an 11-store chain with stores in Delaware, Pennsylvania, New Jersey and South Carolina—has opened a new location in Dover, Delaware, reports Delaware State News.

The new 43,000-square-foot store, with 133 sample floors, features:

• a large Oriental and area rug department, displayed on motorized hanging arms where the rug can easily be dropped to the floor for viewing;

• an enhanced hard surface department featuring hundreds of in-stock hardwoods, laminates, LVT and ceramic tile and natural stone floors;

• Delaware’s only Armstrong Elite Flooring Showroom;

• Delaware’s only Daltile Gallery;

• Delaware’s only Nubrisa Flooring Gallery

• soft surface carpet design center, featuring brands like Karastan, Masland, Nourison the latest carpet innovations from Dupont Sorona Ultra and Sorona Silk.

The opening ceremony was attended by Governor Jack Markell and Delaware economic development director Alan Levin, along with Dover High cheerleaders and the Caesar Rodney High pep band.

In 2014, Airbase was the 38th largest flooring retailer in the U.S. with $49 million in sales, by Floor Focus' estimate.
