Many years ago, Southeastern (SEFL) implemented a strategy to make carpet and carpet related products a niche market for the company.  At the time, SEFL was the only LTL provider aggressively pursuing the industry.  As a result, volumes grew to a daily average of more than 2,000 shipments per day, making SEFL a market leading LTL flooring transportation provider, allowing for direct loading, and a better than 99% on-time service in next day lanes.  The partnership the carpet industry and Southeastern formed, and have enjoyed over the years, has been a winning combination for both parties and our mutual customers!
Southeastern’s commitment to providing the capacity to timely process carpet volumes is demonstrated by its 168 dock door service center, located in the heart of the country’s major floor covering manufacturing region.  In addition, the company employs 211 associates in Dalton, to ensure the pick-ups and dock processing is efficiently executed.  Southeastern has the experience, expertise, and equipment (i.e., tractors, trailers, fork lift trucks, and rug poles) to transport your carpet, and carpet related products timely to your valued customers.
Founded in 1950, SEFL is a privately-owned regional less-than-truckload transportation services provider specializing in next-day service in the Southeast and Southwest and operates 89 service centers in 13 states, Canada and Puerto Rico. Southeastern has a network of service partners to ensure transportation services in the remaining 36 states, the U.S. Virgin Islands and Mexico.
“We sincerely appreciate the mutual partnership our company has enjoyed over the years with the flooring industry.  Our commitment is to continue to provide “Quality Without Question” service to you and your customers.”  Mike Heaton, Sr. Vice President of Sales and Marketing
