Rug Ideas is a third generation family business specializing in custom rug cleaning, repair and appraisal of Persian, Oriental, area and skin rugs with more than 60 years of rug expertise pumping through its veins. 

Our sister-company, Sobhe Trading was extablished in Tehran in 1953 to do Persian carpet business. In 1979 the sons continued and expanded the family business. They opened a brance office & warehouse in 1985 in Hamburg, Germany. 

Now Shbhe Trading is directly exporting all types of Persian carpets (including exclusive Varamin Collection and many exclusive designs) to countries around the world. To serve our customers better, we just opend a new company, Rug Ideas in Los Angeles, CA.

We are a true advocate of the return to traditions and we use vegetable dyes and hand-spun wool. We have tried to bridge traditions and trends by using old designs with new sizes and color combinations. Most of our rugs and flat weaves are woven by our vallage and tribal ladies in their home.

We also have a subsidiary, Los Angeles Rug Cleaning in the same location. We are passionateabout our Persian rug cleaning process. We specialize in the cleaning, repair and appraising of Persian, Oriental, area and skin rugs.
