EU Laminate Sales for 2024 Down 1.44%, Up 7.3% to U.S.

Brussels, Belgium, March 13, 2025-European Producers of Laminate Flooring (EPLF) total sales for 2024 amount to 313.459.786 m², down only 1.44% from 2023. 

North America is one of the biggest success stories of 2024. In 2024, the region started to bounce back (up 8.85%) with sales amounting to 23.521.002 m². Canada saw a biggest gain of 14.15% (5,574,673 m2), with the U.S. remaining the biggest market and scoring 7.3% more sales than the year before (17,946,329 m2). 

In addition, EPLF released its latest Manifesto, outlining the association’s vision, priorities, and commitments for the future of the laminate flooring industry. With a strong emphasis on sustainability, innovation and strengthening of European manufacturing and housing efforts, the Manifesto serves as a guiding framework to drive positive change in the sector-from encouraging innovation to promoting environmentally conscious practices.  

EPLF members elect to work together in pursuit of, 

• Driving forward sustainable and innovative production methods for laminate flooring 

• Ensuring laminate plays a key role in affordable and sustainable European housing 

• Investing in research and development, with a focus on durability, design and circular solutions

• Strengthening European manufacturing, secure jobs and support local economies

The EPLF's members account for approximately 50% of the global market and more than 80% of the European market. At present, a total of 15 laminate producers from eight European countries and 25 suppliers to the laminate flooring industry are members of the EPLF.
