Windmoeller's Cole Serving as Chair of ASTM Resilient Committee

Atlanta, GA, January 10, 2024-Windmoeller, creators of Ecuran bio-based polyurethane, has announced that their director of sustainability and technical services, Tim Cole, has officially begun his term as chair of the ASTM F06 Resilient Flooring Committee.

The American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM), founded in 1898, is a nonprofit organization that sets voluntary consensus standards across various industries. The ASTM F06 Resilient Flooring Committee is specifically dedicated to creating standards for resilient flooring. 

As F06 committee chair, Cole will lead a diverse team of approximately 244 member volunteers, managing 57 standards that encompass a range of products, including vinyl (LVT, sheet, rigid core, etc.), rubber, polyurethane, linoleum, and others. Cole brings a wealth of experience to the committee, having previously served as its first vice-chair and being committed to sustainability and technical innovation throughout his career. 

He has significantly contributed to industry standards as a member of ASTM International, ISO (International Organization for Standardization), and as an executive committee and board member of the Health Product Declaration Collaborative. Furthermore, his leadership roles as past chair of the USGBC national board and past president of the board of directors for The Alliance for Sustainable Built Environments underline his dedication to sustainable practices in the industry.
