
Washington, DC, Aug. 8, 2014 — Wholesale inventories rose 0.3% in June, the same as the previous month, according to the Commerce Department.
May’s inventory gain was revised down from 0.5%.
Wholesale sales grew just 0.2% in June, down from 0.7% in May.
In June, companies increased inventories of furniture, lumber, and steel, while auto inventories fell.
