Olean, New York, August 17, 2006--Wellsville Carpet Town Inc., has announced the promotion of two executives to oversee operations.
Thomas Kane will serve as chief executive officer and Timothy Quinn will become president. The announcement was made by Stephen Kane, founder of the 40-year old company.
The moves come as Wellsville Carpet, the operator of Ashley Furniture Homestores in Western New York, undergoes an expansion throughout the region.
The company opened an Ashley store in Orchard Park Aug. 15, and two more stores are planned for the Rochester area next year. Already under construction in Batavia is an assembly and distribution center.
Wellsville Carpet opened its first Ashley outlet in 2001.
