Unilin Extends Patent Portfolio on Digitally Printed SPC

Waregem, Belgium, January 31, 2022-Unilin technologies has announced that the USPTO found Unilin’s US ser. No. 16/984,747 to fulfill all conditions to become granted. The patent will issue as U.S. 11,236,514 on February 1.

The scope of the patent, with a priority date as early as 2010, will concern floor, wall and ceiling panels with a synthetic material core, a print performed on the panel itself and being finished with a UV coating.

The patent is amongst others included in Unilin’s Digitouch, a patent and technology package offering a complete digital solution for printing life-like 3D textures and designs directly onto different core materials, such as HDF, vinyl, plywood, cork.

Unilin recently announced its cooperation with Barberan and Zeetree wih regard to direct print and texture techniques in this market field.
