Turner Retires from CRI, Hagan Appointed

Dalton, GA, October 8, 2024-The Carpet and Rug Institute (The CRI) has announced the retirement of Richard Turner, who has been an integral part of the organization for the past seven years and part of the carpet industry for the past 43 years, and the appointment of Darrell Hagan.

Throughout his time at The CRI, Turner made significant contributions, helping shape the carpet industry’s technical and testing standards and providing unparalleled support to both the association and its members. During his tenure, Turner played a key role in the CRI’s Seal of Approval (SOA) and Green Label Plus (GLP) programs along with countless ASTM industry standards.  His commitment to excellence and his deep understanding of the carpet industry have set a high standard for the company and have played a crucial role in its success. 

Hagan has been named director of technical and programs. Hagan spent 35 years at Shaw Industries and most recently served as a consultant providing services specifically for the floorcare segment.
