Tommy Maxwell Presented with 2021 NWFA Hall of Fame Award

Orlando, FL, July 8, 2021--Tommy Maxwell, chairman and CEO of Maxwell Hardwood Flooring, was presented with the National Wood Flooring Association (NWFA) Hall of Fame Award on the first evening of the NWFA 2021 Expo.

The purpose of the NWFA Hall of Fame Award is to recognize individuals who make significant contributions to the wood flooring industry through innovation, service and/or leadership.

Accepting the award, Maxwell emotionally attributed his success to five things: his wife and family, his employees, his customers, his suppliers, and the NWFA organization and its members.

Maxwell spent decades working in the hardwood flooring industry with companies such as Anderson, Bruce and Robbins and in March 1992, purchased an existing flooring mill in Monticello, Arkansas from the P. E. Barnes Lumber Company.

Today, Maxwell’s daughter, Kristi Prince, is CFO and son, Wil, is president.

In 2005, the family partnered with Shay Dugal to manufacture plank and specialty flooring, and in 2011 an engineered line was added. Maxwell Hardwood Flooring and those sister companies, Ouachita Hardwood Flooring and Townsend Flooring, now employ over 250 individuals at three separate operations.
