Southwind Purchased by Tom Sullivan's BAMR Holdings

Dalton, GA, March 30, 2021--Southwind Carpet & Hard Surface (Indian Summer Carpet Mills), a flooring products company in Dalton, Georgia, has entered into an agreement to sell its assets and business operations to BAMR Holdings of Franklin, Tennessee.

BAMR Holdings is part of the family of companies owned by American entrepreneur Tom Sullivan that includes Cabinets To Go, a specialty retailer of cabinets, closets and flooring; Gracious Home, a luxury home goods retailer; and Thos Baker, a provider of fine outdoor furniture.

“We are extremely excited to add Southwind to our group of companies specializing in quality home products. They are a great company with great people. We don’t plan on changing much other than increasing the marketing to support the over 5,000 current Southwind dealers across the country,” Sullivan said.

BAMR’s President and CEO, Jason Delves furthered Sullivan’s comments, “Our plan is to simply help Southwind continue its’ growth as a full service flooring supplier to the dealer and commercial building supply markets while quickly providing additional offerings for them to sell.”

Randy Hatch and Richard Abramowicz will be retiring from Southwind after this transaction is complete.

The company will operate as Southwind Building Products, and Bret Perkins will serve as the new company’s president. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021.

Tom Sullivan was the building contractor who founded Lumber Liquidators in 1994. After leaving Lumber Liquidators, he founded BAMR Holdings.
