Thomas Erisman of Armstrong Given ASTM Award of Merit

W. Conshohocken, PA, June 4, 2018-ASTM International’s committee on resilient floorcoverings (F06) presented its top annual award-the Award of Merit-to Thomas Erisman of Armstrong Flooring in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.

The prestigious award, which includes the title of fellow, is ASTM’s highest recognition for individual contribution to developing standards.

Erisman was honored for exceptional and significant leadership contributions to ASTM committee F06 as an executive manager, subcommittee officer, nominating committee chair and any other role where a knowledgeable and balanced perspective was needed.

An ASTM member since 2000, Erisman has also received the Ten and 15 Year Service Award (2010 and 2015) from the committee.

Erisman, a principal scientist with Armstrong Flooring, has held his current position since 2016, having worked with the company in the research, development, and evaluation of resilient floor coverings for 45 years. He holds an associate’s degree in science from Millersville University.

In addition to ASTM International, Erisman is a member of the International Organization for Standardization.
